My name is Karla Upton. My husband and I have recently purchased a few acres just outside of town. I am a business analyst and certified project manager by trade. I am also a certified permaculture designer (Karla Upton Designs) - but what I really like to do is grow food and trees, and trees that produce food. I plan to run a miniature orchard and farm so that I can be part of the local, organic, non-GMO, highly nutritious, really yummy food movement. Step one - what grows well here? Step two - can I provide enough basic veggies for 10 families in my neighborhood for several weeks over the summer?
